Dear Registrants,

It is my pleasure to announce the appointment of Carina Herman to the position of Registrar and CEO of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC, effective January 18, 2021.

Ms. Herman is a registered nurse who comes to us with over 20 years of regulation and leadership experience, most recently as Chief Officer for Regulatory Compliance with the BC College of Nursing Professionals. She previously served as Registrar and CEO for the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC, successfully leading their organization and Board through the amalgamation of the three nursing colleges. Along with her wealth of regulatory experience, she has long-established relationships with the Ministry of Health, the other BC health regulators, and with BC Health Authorities.

We are pleased and fortunate to have Carina Herman join the CNPBC and bring her knowledge and experience to our organization. With her unique work history, passion for regulation, and collaborative leadership style, we can be confident she will be an exceptional leader for our College.

The Board and I look forward to working closely with Ms. Herman when she assumes her new position later this month. Please join me in welcoming her to the College.
