Freedom of Information Requests
What type of information can I request?
Examples of the type of information that can be requested under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act include:
- annual reports
- annual financial reports
- committee reports
- corporate policies
- practice standards and professional guidelines for registrants
- registrant directory
If the information you have requested cannot be disclosed, reasons will be provided to you. The exceptions to disclosure are listed in sections 12 to 22 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
All freedom of information requests must be made in writing to the College, using the form below. The College will process freedom of information requests within 30 days of a completed request being received. This timeframe may be extended if your request is complicated. Please note, that we may withhold information pursuant to the exceptions in sections 12 to 22 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

What Personal Information is Collected and How is it Used?
The College recognizes and respects users’ need for privacy and security when they visit the College website. When a user visits the College website the web server automatically collects a limited amount of information essential for the operation and security of the website, including browser type. Some information may not identify the user and some information such as an IP address may identify the user.
The College will only collect personal information in compliance with section 26 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The College does not disclose any personally identifiable user information to other organizations or individuals, except as required by law.
How is my Personal Information Protected?
The College is committed to protecting your privacy. The College can collect, use and disclose personal information in accordance with the Health Professionals Act, College Bylaws and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
